Dr. John Robbins, director, Marriage & Family Therapy programs at Argosy University, Salt Lake City, recently received the 2017 Utah Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (UAMFT) “Exceptional Service Award."
Dr. Robbins received the award for his service to the UAMFT Board as the chair of the elections committee. Dr. Robbins has provided numerous UAMFT-sponsored continuing education training events for licensed mental health professionals in the community. He received the award from the student representative of the UAMFT Board, Paul Flack. Mr. Flack is currently working toward a Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy in Marriage & Family Therapy at Argosy University, Salt Lake City. Flack is also clinical director for the Utah Urban Indian Center.
During the presentation, Flack read excerpts from board members, students and professionals who’ve been impacted by Dr. Robbins service. One quote was, ”You have taught me much about how to treat others, how to be generous in spirit, and how to be steady and committed. I feel so honored to have worked with you and see your passion and commitment to the field.”
