Dr. Louise C. Jorgensen, PhD, LCMHC, PLLC, Interim Department Chair of the College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences at Argosy University, Salt Lake City, recently presented at the Dan Siegel Workshop. The workshop, sponsored by Suncrest Counseling, took place on June 1 and 2, 2017. In addition to her speaking engagement, Dr. Siegel presented a workshop on using Mindfulness and Guided Imagery Techniques in Clinical Practice.
Dr. Jorgensen holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Brigham Young University, a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Doctorate in Counseling, Counselor Education and Supervision from Oregon State University. She’s been a faculty member at Argosy University, Salt Lake City for seven years.
Dr. Jorgensen continues to maintain a private practice where she works with mood disorders, trauma recovery and relational counseling. Her research interests include the mind/body connection, psychopharmacology, mindfulness and compassion fatigue.
