Twin Cities Campus Holds Start-up Challenge

Argosy University, Twin Cities’ community based program, “Start-up Challenge,” gives aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to utilize the resources, knowledge and experience available within business programs at Argosy University. The seven week, non-credit program, which has been held twice in the past year, facilitated business plan writing in a classroom style setting, then paired participants with mentors from the business community for feedback and consultation.

Participants learned about business leadership and presented their final business plans to faculty, mentors and other Challenge participants. Topics covered included marketing, social media, human resources, accounting, finance and strategy. Sara Aschalew, who is working toward a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration at the school, entered her start-up business plan into a competition for new firms and was chosen as a semi-finalist.
