Competency Based MBA

Competency-based, cost effective, market driven and super flexible -- Argosy University has developed an innovative, new MBA program from the ground up!

Learning Reinvented

In this program designed for working professionals, students can apply their experience and prior knowledge to test out of previously mastered subjects and focus their time on unfamiliar areas. This revolutionary model gives students more control over how quickly they earn a degree and can provide both time and cost savings.

A Curriculum Designed to Help You Build Your Career

To create the curriculum for the competency-based MBA program, the University collaborated with its Professional Advisory Board to identify the core competencies and knowledge graduates need to excel in the workplace. Throughout the program, students are asked to demonstrate competence in each area by taking assessments rather than classes.

Students will also have the opportunity to develop a portfolio of projects to share with their current or potential employers to show that they’re ready to hit the ground running!

A Supportive & Flexible Learning Environment

Each MBA student will work with a Personal Progress Mentor (PPM) to create a customized academic plan that takes into account existing levels of knowledge and competence. This plan will be designed to let students progress toward their degrees at a pace that’s right for them. Students also have access to subject matter experts, known as domain leaders, and a 24/7 online community of peers.

In addition, this program offers a unique tuition structure in which students pay a competitive flat rate every 16 weeks while they are enrolled.
