Career & Professional Readiness
The Department of Career & Professional Readiness partners with students as they explore employment possibilities, develop job skills, and connect with potential opportunities related to their professional endeavors. Our goal is to encourage the career potential of students by facilitating opportunities for them to explore their interests and gain valuable professional experience while utilizing a variety of resources that may be delivered in self-directed, virtual or in-person formats.
Students can seek guidance in building a resume, career planning, developing job-search strategies, preparing for an interview and evaluating potential job opportunities. The Department of Career & Professional Readiness will also work to plan and deliver career readiness workshops, individual or group career planning sessions, job board resources and industry guest speakers in both virtual and in-person platforms.
To access our virtual, in-person and blended services, Argosy University students and graduates can connect to a Career Coach in-person at their local campus or via email at: AUcareerreadiness@argosy.edu or via phone at: 1-855-855-0571. They may also attend virtual or in-person workshops and employment events, schedule a 1:1 appointment, or review self-directed resources and the digital job board via the student portal.

The Career & Professional Readiness Department offers a variety of online services and resources to Argosy University graduates. The self-directed alumni website is available to graduates and to students in their last quarter (pending graduate status).
The website exists to support the endeavors of our graduates and to provide a forum for networking with fellow classmates. Argosy University graduates can connect from anywhere around the world. Alumni can share their challenges and victories, access services to elevate their career, and demonstrate their impact in their personal and professional communities. Information about career services, campus events, Argosy University news is also available.
The website is exclusive to Argosy University graduates and there are no costs, fees or dues to access these services. The Argosy University values our talented alumni community and we strive to build and maintain the alumni relationship through e-communications, virtual events, and campus activities. Alumni are invited to share their personal and professional updates with the Argosy University community!

We make no representations or guarantees, however, about positions posted to Career and Professional Readiness Bulletin Boards or circulated by Career and Professional Readiness staff; nor are we responsible for safety, wages, working conditions, or other aspects of off-campus employment. It is the responsibility of each student or alumnus/alumna to research the legitimacy and integrity of any potential employer. Please use caution and common sense when applying for any position with an organization or private party, particularly over the Internet. While most job postings are legitimate, bad actors use fraudulent job postings in an effort to trick individuals into providing sensitive personal information and/or transferring money in connection with a job that does not actually exist. Monetary scams can take a variety of forms including fake application fees or sending the individual a (bad) check for more than the agreed upon salary and then requesting the individual send the amount of the “overpayment” back to the fraudster (the check then bounces and the individual may not be able to recover the returned “overpayment”).
If you believe that a job posting may be fraudulent, please contact Career and Professional Readiness at AUcareerreadiness@argosy.edu so that we can investigate and remove the posting if necessary. If you believe that you have responded to a fraudulent posting, you also should contact local law enforcement. If you believe you lost money as a result of a monetary scam, you should also immediately contact the bank or credit card company for the account you used to report the matter, attempt to recover your funds, and close your account if necessary.
